Tourist information for visitors to Crail

Crail Village - Crail Festival

If you're lucky enough to be in Crail during the last two weeks in July, you will find that the village has a festive atmosphere as the Crail arts festival is taking place. There are exhibitions, competitions, performance arts and craft fairs.

There is a website: Crail Festival Website dedicated to providing information about the annual festival.

The Festival comprises the Main Programme of events for Adults - with some events suitable for the whole family, and the Children's Festival for younger visitors.

In years when we've attended the festival, our children have enjoyed baking, dancing, a library storytelling event, and puppet making. There have also been pottery classes at Crail Pottery (tickets hotly contested!) and a popular Treasure Hunt and Art Competition.

If you want to participate in any of the events it's a good idea to get to Crail Town Hall early on the morning when tickets go on sale as the Children's Events in particular sell out quickly and spaces are limited.
